FILM

I am writer/director working in both narrative and documentary films. My documentaries take a personal approach to thorny subjects like identity and gentrification.  My narrative films are often set in New York City and explore a sociopolitical topic. I'm attracted to untold history, immigrant stories, alternative communities, social justice, and the invisible city of the working poor.  

My first short film, DOUBLE DEALING, was a finalist for Asian American Film Lab's 72 Hour Film Shootout and was screened at the Asian American International Film Festival.

My screenplay EX LIBRIS made it to the final rounds of the Sundance Screenplay Lab, the Berlin Film Festival Talent Campus and the Slamdance Screenplay Contest.

I was invited to be part of the Film Academy at the International Documentary Festival in Amsterdam (IDFA) in 2012.
